Mission Statement

Accused.scot is an independent, non-profit platform dedicated to fostering fairness and integrity within the Scottish justice system.

The project is run by volunteers who are not legally trained, and its core purpose is to share information and direct individuals to appropriate professional assistance. We are not able to offer case-specific help.

  • Awareness: Sharing verified, factual information regarding due process and the profound human impact of accusations, particularly those that are disputed or later proven false.
  • Signposting: Providing essential, up-to-date links to qualified legal, psychological, and community resources for people facing allegations.
  • Dialogue: Encouraging open, evidence-based public discussion to support improvements in investigation, prosecution, and support procedures, while upholding the presumption of innocence and respect for all parties.

Accused.scot operates entirely independently and does not represent or affiliate with any political party, organisation, or pressure group.

All publications reflect the collective editorial position of the project unless otherwise stated.
